Terms of Service
The deal between you and us.
Last updated 28 July 2026
These terms apply when you use Yibbit — the website, the app, and the audit reports it produces. Using it means you accept them. If you're accepting on behalf of a company, you're confirming you're allowed to.
What Yibbit does
Yibbit finds local businesses in a city and trade you choose, runs an automated technical audit of their websites, and drafts talking points you can use to start a conversation. It is a research and prospecting tool. It does not contact anyone on your behalf, and it does not send email for you.
The findings are automated, and they can be wrong
Specifically:
- Accessibility results are partial. We run axe-core, which tests a subset of WCAG 2.1 AA — roughly a third to a half of the success criteria — and cannot judge anything requiring human assessment. A clean result is not a finding that a site is accessible, and nothing Yibbit produces is a compliance certification or legal advice about accessibility obligations under the ADA, the European Accessibility Act, or anything else.
- AI output can be inaccurate. Scores, "critical issues" and suggested pitch lines are generated by a language model from our measurements. It can misread a page and assert a problem that doesn't exist.
- Findings go stale. A site that changed after we looked will not match the report.
Your responsibility when you use a finding
Yibbit's whole purpose is that you take these findings to the business they describe. That makes verification your job, not an optional extra:
- Check any finding against the live site before you put it in writing. Telling a business their booking is broken when it isn't is a statement about them that they can act on — and it's yours, not ours.
- Don't present Yibbit output as a certification, an official assessment, or the work of a qualified professional unless you actually are one and have checked it yourself.
- Comply with the law when you make contact — CAN-SPAM in the US, PECR and UK GDPR in the UK, CASL in Canada, and the equivalent wherever your prospect is. Yibbit gives you information; how you use it is on you.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Yibbit to send unsolicited bulk email, or to build lists for someone else to.
- Scrape, resell, or redistribute the underlying business data as a dataset.
- Point Yibbit at sites you know have asked not to be crawled, or use it to probe systems you aren't authorised to test. Yibbit honours robots.txt (details here); working around that is a breach of these terms.
- Try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
- Share your account, or let someone use it who hasn't accepted these terms.
We can suspend an account that's doing any of this. Where it's practical and wouldn't make things worse, we'll tell you first.
Your account
Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us promptly if something looks wrong. What happens under your account is your responsibility.
Your data and ours
Notes, CRM records and anything else you put into Yibbit remain yours. You give us permission to store and process it in order to run the service. We own Yibbit itself — the software, the interface, the branding. These terms don't give you any of it beyond permission to use the service while your account is active.
Audit reports are yours to use with your prospects and clients, subject to the verification obligations above.
Availability
There is no uptime guarantee. Yibbit is provided as-is and as-available. We do maintenance, things occasionally break, and third-party APIs we depend on go down. If we ever offer a service level commitment it'll be a separate written agreement, not this page.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss. Where we are liable, our total liability is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law. If you're a consumer rather than a business, your statutory rights are unaffected.
You agree to cover us for claims arising from how you used Yibbit's output — in particular, claims from a business about statements you made to them.
Fees
Yibbit is pre-launch and no fees are being charged. If you joined as an early backer, we've recorded that and will honour it when paid plans start; the specific terms of any offer will be set out in writing before you're asked to pay anything. Nothing on this site is a binding offer of a particular price.
Ending it
You can stop using Yibbit and ask us to close your account at any time. We can end or suspend access for a breach of these terms. On termination your right to use the service stops; ask within 30 days and we'll export your data for you.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll give reasonable notice by email or in the app before it takes effect. Carrying on using Yibbit after that means you accept the new version.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes go to the courts of the State of California. If you're a consumer elsewhere, you keep whatever rights and forums your local law gives you.
