Information for businesses listed in Yibbit
If you run a local business and found your way here from our crawler, this page is for you. It explains what we hold, why, and how to get it removed.

What happened
Yibbit is a tool used by web designers and marketing agencies to find local businesses whose websites have fixable problems. It searches Google Places for businesses in a given city and trade, then runs an automated check on each one's public website.
You didn't sign up for this and we've never spoken. We're telling you because if you're a sole trader — or your business phone and address are also your personal ones — that record is personal data about you, and you're entitled to know we have it.
What we hold
| What | Where it came from |
|---|---|
| Business name, address, phone number, website | Google Places API |
| Google rating and review count | Google Places API |
| Business category | Google Places API |
| Technical measurements of your website — load speed, SEO tags, broken links, accessibility check results, JavaScript errors | An automated visit to your public website |
| A screenshot of your homepage | The same visit |
| An AI-written summary of what could be improved | Generated from the measurements above |
We only ever look at pages that are already public. We don't log in anywhere,
we don't fill in your forms, and we don't collect customer data from your
site. Our crawler identifies itself as Yibbitbot and honours
robots.txt — details and how to block it.
Most of what comes from Google is deleted and re-fetched on a rolling 30-day cycle, because Google's terms don't allow us to keep it longer than that.
Why we think we're allowed to
We rely on legitimate interests: identifying businesses whose websites have problems that our customers can fix, using information that is already published. We've weighed that against your interests, and it's why we only use public data, keep the technical footprint of our visit small, and operate this page.
If you disagree, you don't have to justify it. Use the form below and we'll remove you.
